Volaris Airline Inaugurates New Route from Texas to Cancún
On July 12, 2024, Volaris, the Mexican low-cost airline, launched a new international route connecting Cancún with McAllen, Texas.
This strategic addition aims to bolster tourism and business ties between the two locations. The route will operate twice weekly, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, offering competitive fares to travelers.
Fernanda Pereda, Volaris’ Sales and Market Development Manager for the U.S., expressed gratitude for the support from McAllen authorities and emphasized the route’s role in strengthening connections between Latino communities and major Mexican tourist destinations.
McAllen’s Mayor, Javier Villalobos, highlighted the economic and cultural benefits of this direct service to Cancún, a leading tourist spot in Latin America.
This expansion reflects Volaris’ commitment to enhancing its network, following its recent fleet augmentation with a new Airbus A321neo.
